We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Churchill Guest House. We stayed in the Victoria Suite. It was comfortable, spacious, clean, and very charming with an adjoining patio. Alex was the perfect host, ensuring that we not only felt welcomed, but also at home. He was so very helpful with suggestions and information on local points of interest and he assisted with other travel logistics such as arranging transport and printing documents needed for our cruise leaving from Dover. We only wish we had more time to spend here, but now we have many reasons to return.
Stayed here for one night in Winston twin room whilst on a walking weekend with friends. This B&B does not fail to impress. Excellent Covid precautions taken by Alex who runs the whole place himself after taking over from his mum and dad. Beautiful multi storey house that is kept clean and immaculate. Each floor has a communal fridge where Alex stocks them with filtered water and fresh milk for guests to use. Beds were so comfortable and the rooms nicely set out. Breakfast was beautifully served in our rooms and if you're lucky enough to stay in the Victoria room then you will have the luxury of having your own courtyard area and garden room. This place really is a hidden gem and whilst Alex will be converting some of the rooms into self-catering in the near future, he will still retain some as B&B. Alex was very welcoming and went out of his way to help us have an enjoyable stay. The Churchill gave us more than just B&B, it delivered a wonderful experience of staying in a beautiful home. Will definitely stay again.
The hosts were very welcoming and communicated details of the stay by repeated emails beforehand! The hotel is a quaint 200 year old building, the rooms are well furnished, decorated in a quaint and luxurious way, and the beds are very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Total Recommended!
Booked this place for a few days and honestly was 100% worth it. Short stay or a long stay. Alex was responsive, kind, friendly, approachable and just a star. He went above and beyond for his guests. The room we used was clean, plenty of amenities and you have many options (with a small fee but that's fine!). The hotel was close to both the cliffs and the castle. Definitely would use again and would 100% recommend it. Thank you Alex for a comfy and happy visit to Dover
I very much enjoyed my recent stay in Churchill House. Fabulous location, lovely interesting home and a very helpful host Alex. My single room was delightful. My space had a separate modern bathroom and i even had a sweet balcony looking over the gardens. A peaceful stay in a place that has lots of history was perfect for me. Thanks again Alex.

We stayed at the Churchill house in Dover from May 29 - June 1, 2023. We were in the Victoria room and we absolutely loved it. Convenient location, beautiful comfortable room and nice bathroom with shower and comfy bath robes. The attached patio and outdoor private garden to the Victoria make this particular room a gem. If you can appreciate a secret garden of your own, you should stay in this room. Plus delicious breakfasts, and a super host in Alex.
What a wonderful place to stay! The location can't be beat - easy walking distance from the train, ferry, restaurants, Dover Castle and White Cliffs hike. The room was beautiful with lots of welcoming touches and all the essentials needed while traveling. Our family of four felt right at home in the Sarah Apartment with room to spread out but also gather for a late night card game. Plus Alex was such a thoughtful host, from the moment he brought us a fresh bowl of fruit when we greeted us (a delectable treat for weary travelers) to the multiple times he helps us when we couldn't figure out how to call the taxi or the best route to walk to the ferry. He also provided many spot on recommendations for places to eat and where to visit while in town. Can't recommend highly enough - this was one of our favorite spots on our trip!
